Rockingham County, North Carolina has been known for it's water activities on the four rivers located in the county including the Dan River, Mayo River, Smith River and the Haw River. Thanks to the Town of Madison and several state agencies an old dam that was having several structure issues was removed and a beautiful river park was created complete with seven small rapids that are great for fishing, kayaking, tubing are just sitting back and enjoying the scenery.
